"Playing with Matches"
or "Fear of Fire"...I'm not sure yet. This is still maybe a bit rough, but I felt the need to post something.
I've had a lot of new spanish speaking viewers lately. I wish I knew more of that language, but at least I can say "Hola!" (at least that part's right, isn't it?) Gracias for visiting my little blog.

I like "Playing with Matches" best as it stands. The candles look tense, but like they're going to rush in and attack, not like they're scared of fire. The blue one's got that spy thing going on, and the yellow one looks like it's reporting coordinates. =)
Lovely, again.
I think 'playing with matches' is the one, too. Overall I think this is an excellent body of work. i like you sense of play and humour, how you do it and the skill with which these little sculptures and tableaux (tableau?? can't remeber which is the plural) are made.
I was a little confused over the role of the salt and pepper shakers. Why not a cup cake to hide behind instead?
love this one! you must have very delicate fingers to bend wire around those matchsticks without snapping them. whew. i vote for 'playing with matches' as well. its amazing how you get so much personality into inatimate objects.
as for spanish, if you grew up in texas, like i have, you learn it just from hearing it. lol. i never even took classes and i can roughly translate stuff. crazy.

Worry not about not knowing Spanish! "Hola!" is good enough for us :-) :-D (thanks for the welcome! love your blog and the whimsical art it portrays)
I adore this one, but I'm confused. Is that matchbox... giving...birth?
Thanks for everyones comments. One of the favorite part of my day is reading them.
