Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the U.S., a day set aside to be thankful for our blessings. What it has become for a lot of us is a day of eating a lot of food, the marquee item being a turkey. A ritual for many is the breaking of the turkey wishbone. Whichever person ends up with the longest piece of the wishbone gets a wish.
I have no idea what a vegetable would wish for, I'll leave that to your imagination. How did they get ahold of a wishbone anyway? Are they not vegetarians? Hmmm.

Cute! Happy Thanksgiving Day to you.
If they were vegetarians, that would mean that they are cannibals! The HORROR!
I was going to make a witty cannibal joke but Guitargirl beat me to it. Blast!
What do vegetables wish for?
More carnivores.
Yeay! Wishbone! That's what I suggested... but you already did it!
Now if I could just get you to use my other suggestion... Monopoly pieces... I wonder if you're succeptable to mind tricks.
You should be, cuz you're a little Uri-Geller-ish, bending the metal and all... well, I know it's not spoons, but...
HEY that's another good one... make a 'bending spoons with your mind' themed Bent Object...
What would they wish for?
To get a peek at the salad dressing?
Ooooooooh! That was from about third grade--completely unworthy of your wit.
terry: thanks for the post. happy thanksgiving.
beck: I laughed.
What would they wish for?
A really relaxing steam!
Happy thanksgiving! Hope the wishbone breaks in your favor!
Happy Thanksgiving!
i wore my wishbone necklace today in honor of our de-boned turkey. hope your day was awesome, terry!
if i were a veggie, i would wish for...a long life in the fridge drawer, or a co-starring role in dinner, perhaps.
Just got back from being away for Thanksgiving and this is just too funny! Makes me hungry just looking at it.... all they need is a wok! Yum
I wonder if you can replicate an iPhone from some fruit. That would be cool!
No. They wouldn't be cannibals... necessarily. I mean, we eat other mammals...
At first glance I thought they were light-sabering it out for a featured spot on the table!
