L.A. Woman

I will probably involve her in a narrative at some point, but here she is just posing for you.

Oh, yeah- those are wax lips. Do people in other parts of the world know about wax lips?

yup...sure do! But they are very difficult to find, here in Toronto, except at Halloween for some strange reason...Love it and your blog

Whoa! What's up "Hot Lips"?

The boots definitely make me think DOMINATRIX!

I like the idea of the tea bagger making an appearance with this one.

nah, not until now, i don't think i've seen such lips.
but have seen plenty of LA women ;^D
the boots angle and the way she is standing really depict "them" i think.

I'll just assume you mean "LA woman not including any LA women who read this blog"!

WOW! She looks like she has a lot to talk about!

would be fun if "wax lips" had an encounter with "pop rocks", "candy cigarette" and others I remember seeing on the candy aisle all hanging out together back in the day.

She looks pensive.

Perhaps contemplating whether her ass is still too big, despite the fact that 90% of it is now located in her lips.

Wow, that's some botox treatment...

Yeah, we have them up here in Canada... I used to love those things (well, when I was LITTLE, that is...)

Terra said...

I loved them too. Does she drink out of the Nik-L-Nips wax bottles? Does her dress have candy buttons?

I like LA WOMAN over L.A. Woman. People could read what they want- either a women from L.A. or a play on french LA FEMME.

XXOO to L.A. Woman ;-)

I remember these, and the wax fangs, from when I was a kid. I thought they were pretty darn nifty. I liked the candy cigarettes too! But the lips are gross if you try chewing them like gum. Oh and it would be interesting to see it with the teabagger

On with the blather

Love love love the boots. The L.A. Woman wouldn't have been complete with anything else!

If the lips were a little bit bigger, you could name them Lisa Rinna.....LOL

Terry said...

Thanks all you Bent visitors!

Lisa Rinna! ha!! got that right!

And this is just a certain kind of L.A. Woman, not my blogs visitors. I think that sort would be surfing People.com right now.

SHUT UP! I LOOOOOVE wax lips! They're one of my favorite things ever. Tasty and wonderful.

You need to find the nose and mustache to go with her...

I'm amazed at how you make her seem to have her hands on her hips and she has neither! Love your work!

To me, wax lips are a worse confection than circus peanuts (which I secretly, ashamedly LOVE). Chewing was is so disgusting. Except for toddlers who chew on crayons, I can't think of anyone who would intentionally chew on wax and derive any pleasure from doing so!

we don't get them in the uk - if its made of wax, how can it be called CANDY? surely 'candy' has to be edible?

Kate said...

Um, ew. I had never heard of those before, and wish I still hadn't.

(people EAT them? Really? Sheesh.)

Taz said...

lol, I'm with Kate on this. They don't look edible.

Terry said...

You know what? I'm not sure if you're supposed to swallow it. I know it's made to be chewed, but beyond that, I'm not sure.

Never saw the likes of these in France, Holland or italy...
Sorry to read that you are feeling poorly. Take care.

She looks almost famous ;)

wax lips make me think about those little wax cola bottles

I used to get wax lips from the corner store when I was younger. In fact, I was just thinking about them today at work! No one remembers them but me, and apparently you. Wherever did you get those?

I enjoy your blog very much, and I hope you have fun at your conference.

i live in Asia and i'm familiar with wax lips... although thinking of eating something that's made of wax (and it is btw) is kinda... unappetizing but its fun to put on your lip and pretend you're angelina jolie LOL...

I love all the pics btw, :D

Yup, my grandma actually gave me a pair for my birthday a few years back. I thought they were candy. . .
