Measuring Up to Other's Standards

He couldn't do it, and truth be told, he had a bit of a complex about it.

Am I being subtle here, or not?

----------

And no, I'm not taking any of you on our trip with us. Feel free to meet us over there though, so you can buy me a beer.

Nikoli hit the nail on the head when he mentioned that I may be scattering some things here and there. I may even post where I'm going to be, and you can get something from me in person. So be especially alert you London people and you Parisians (not that I really expect anyone to show, but maybe someone will surprise me).

Hey, I was just checking out your book on Amazon.com, and I noticed that it claims that your work can be seen at www.bentobjects.com. I wonder if there's a way to get them to correct the URL?

Joshua, I let someone know a while back. It seems that it isn't changing anytime soon. I'll have to throw a fit about it or something.
Thanks for noticing though.

Heh, slightly subtle, slightly obvious. If it wasn't for the title ("measuring up to other's standards") I may not have seen it so quick. If you could make him look more sad, it might work better.

Damn. Now I'm telling you how to make your art. I'll shut up now.

tedder, slightly obvious is fine with me.

Why is it always the redheads that have the short fuse? huh???

Stoked on your trip! Looking forward to the pics of your art there...

This one is great, as usual.

You keep giving me reasons to book a flight to Paris. It's been almost five years since I've been there. I think it's time.

Where's this Londen?

Wicked!

Fixed spelling. I write this stuff too quick.

And yep, too subtle. That's okay though.

I'd buy you a beer in London! Or maybe one of those fancy drinks with a little umbrella in it...

I love how the blue candle looks like he's gossiping with the yellow one. :) Poor red candle...

Nice.

And...you're saying I can't come with, even if I buy a suitcase big enough for you to smuggle me on board? Cold.

You made a candle shrug. That's one of the many reasons I'm one of your fans. Have a fun and safe trip!

What's a young candle to do when he hasn't reached puberty? Let's hope he doesn't always have to deal with wick envy.

You know, a longer wick doesn't burn properly. They always tell you to trim the wick on newly purchased candles. At least on proper beeswax candles.

Now as far as OTHER things being bigger.....girth is the most important factor than long and skinny in MY opinion.

I think it is interesting that he is the only red one, as well as his other... defects.

Jim Drew said...

It's not the size of the wick, it's how hard they wish with it that counts.

Too subtle? No, "Wick-ed!"
