Doing A Slow Burn

--------------------

Somewhat related- Bent Objects: The Secret Life of Everyday Things was scheduled to be on the CBS program "The Early Show" this morning. So, I'm fairly excited. I call my mom and everything. Then my wife and I sit through 2 and a half hours of the show... Then when the "Gift Book Segment" of the show finally happens, the person talking about the books is Oprah's O Magazine editor! My wife and I look at each other and say "yes!" ... Then they run out of time before they get to my book.

Soooo close.... That has to be frustrating as hell. On the bright side, you are letting those of us who have bought the book already stay ahead of the curve for a little longer.

The picture you posted looks a lot like the famous Vietnam era photo of the monk setting himself on fire to protest the war (the same one on the Rage Against the Machine album). Is this what you were trying to emulate, or coinsedance?

Frustrating! I was wondering the same thing about the image - very bleak - amazing the emotion you can capture with just a few candles and some wire feet...

Awww, man. No love from IMA, no love from Early Show.... At least you know we love you here!

Miz K and Iberg- yes.

Irony is my constant companion. It's not even surprising anymore, but it is still frustrating. I've recovered though.

So I can delete the 2hrs of the Early Show without watching then, huh? (I don't get up that early) Bummer.

Moonshadow- don't watch. it's painful for numerous reasons.

That's great news! I feel like that when I sell a print too :). I hope you sell loads more over Christmas!

Sorry to hear about the bum deal. :(

I know the pic is kinda on the dark side (no pun intended), but I really like it. It reminds me of the Vietnam conflict era pic from the Life magazine book. The pics were always so intense. Good job Terry!
