I'm not always trying to be funny here. I was asked to make an image to pair with a poem for a poetry magazine, and this was one of my ideas. I decided to go with something else, but I think it's still a good image, so I decided to share it here with you.
As I was trying to decide what to call it, I went on Google and searched for "mirror poem". What came up was a really good poem by the well known author
Sylvia Plath.
It really doesn't have much to do with my photo, but I decided to share that with you also.
Mirror
I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
What ever you see I swallow immediately
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.
I am not cruel, only truthful---
The eye of a little god, four-cornered.
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.
Faces and darkness separate us over and over.
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,
Searching my reaches for what she really is.
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.
I am important to her. She comes and goes.
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.

Sylvia Plath, by the way, just happens to be who I was thinking of when I made the following image a while back-
Sylvia Muffin Put Her Head in the Oven
I asked myself if I should repost this image when the mirror photo and the posting of the Sylvia Plath poem would probably make me look sensitive and intelligent. I killed the whole poetry vibe, didn't I?
Oh well.
Speaking of dumb ways to die, here's a good video about that.

Or
my books. People have told me they like them.
Until next time,
